FINAL DEGREE PROJECT
The project presented consists in the practical development of an investigative work that aims to create two capsule collections of garments based on musical costumes.
Under this premise, the theoretical part analyzes the stage costumes of the musical field of the pop genre and its influence on society. Through its development, it is intended to understand how certain iconic figures in the musical field have contributed transcendental changes in the fashion of their time and have brought trends and elements that we enjoy today closer to the population. The project analyzes the needs of the stage costumes of these characteristics, the course of their development, both historical and current, the most influential artists and the specific costumes of each one of them, as well as their innovative elements and their arrival to the public.
In the practical phase of this Final Degree Project, two capsule collections have been executed trying to capture the future of this type of artistic wardrobe, taking into account the current social context and the needs that it emanates. As a result, two collections were obtained in collaboration with young artists from the music scene. Both of them are presented in a total look format and show eight completely made pieces belonging to three selected looks.
